Ersi Spathopoulou was born in Athens, Greece. She studied graphic arts at Vakalo School of Art & Design, where she specialized in stage design. She was assistant stage designer to Savvas Charatsides, for various productions of the National Theatre of Greece. She worked for Artoon S.A. as background artist-stylist for the TV series cartoon production “Pandora and Plato”, as well as other projects. Since 1998, she runs her own creative team ANIMaD *Illustration & Animation*, along with animator Dimitris Karatzaferis.
